put a cup of ammonia in the oven over night. the fumes will loosen the grease and it will wipe right out.

Take it from an Army wife with 20 years worth of moves, hire a cleaning team. I know they are expensive but after one move from quarters my spouse & I decided that our marriage was worth more than the cost of a team. Cleaning for a housing inspection is the most stressful part of a PCS move. It is never easy.

We clean rentals and move outs we do hundreds of apartments. The best advice I can give you is to go to a Sam's Club in the auto department they have a oven/degreaser in a three pack. This is what we use to clean anything greasy. We spray it in ovens and use it in cabinets, and it is the only thing I have ever used to cut grease, this is a hard core cleaner. Turn fans on and wear gloves. When using it on cabinets spray your rag not directly on cabinets. We use straight razors and little wire brushes to get to the places that we can't get the grease off.

If you go to one of the dollar stores, Family Dollar or Dollar General, they both carry a product called "Mean Green" - if you spray it on your oven and let it sit about 1/2 an hour it will loosen the grease and you will be able to wipe it right off, be sure to rinse with clear water. It will also work on the exhaust screen and fan.

Vinegar & baking soda....I like chemical free cleaners & works really well.. Sprinkle on the soda & spray over it with vinegar & wait at least 10 minutes & scrub...

A product called Greased Lightning that you can get at Lowes or Home Depot. It doesn't have the toxic fumes that oven cleaner does at all. No need to heat up the oven just spray it on leave it sit for maybe an hour and wipe it off with wet rag. This stuff is fantastic but keep it away from paint-it will take paint off. It won't take the paint off the stove but will remove latex paint from where you don't want it too.

Pour some ammonia in a pan, place on top rack of oven--on the rack below this place a pan of boiling water-let sit overnight--next morning wipe clean - so easy. FYI the oven does not have to be warm--do not run the oven when doing this. Good Luck--Works for me!!
