Budget Powder Room Makeover
by

We have a tiny main floor bathroom (the powder room). It was my most hated room in the house, decor-wise, and one day it dawned on me to do something about it. It was so small that it really wouldn't cost a ton to make a big change.
We added some trim around the windows, and found a clearance shade for $5! Beadboard wallpaper was an easy and cheaper solution than the real deal (plus, we lacked the tools to make that happen anyway!) Ripping out the old skinny baseboards and adding bigger ones, and a trim around the top of the beadboard wallpaper really added a lot of character to a space that was incredibly lacking!
We kept the old light fixture, but used an old mirror I had instead of buying a new one. Some accessories from yard sales and places like HomeGoods, Marshalls, and Target helped complete the room.
What was once a major eyesore of a space...
...is now my favorite room in the house!
And the best part is, it didn't break the bank!
