Craftsman Home Makeover - Guest Room

My husband and I are slowly renovating a 1939 craftsman home and this was one of our room makeovers. The pics aren't the best but gives you an idea of the work. After pulling down nasty ceiling tiles we discovered a large crack in the ceiling, thus the reason ceiling tiles in the first place and huge globs of glue! I was not interested in scraping the glue after the hours spent removing the tiles to begin with and had an idea....my husband thought I was crazy but he is a good man so he helped with the execution. Ok, he did WAY more than help, that is how these things typically work.
So my big idea starts at home depot, yes, aluminum siding.
Took more patience than hanging wall paper as a couple I think, ensuring the metal bolts were all lined up for a consistent look took some work.
Decorated with an airplane theme, this print was my starting point when I thought about how to make this ceiling work from the onset.
Wish this photo was better but gives you an idea, black and white prints of antique planes on the other two walls.
This fan with the two propellers make the ceiling. It turned out better than I expected and is a real eye catcher! Definitely a unique approach to a ceiling, so far many compliments from guests visiting our own little B&B.

Shweta Sharma on Jul 19, 2016Love this beautiful ceiling idea! Moreover, the plane wall frame is also giving a stunning look to the bedroom. You can hang a tapestry also as the bed headboard. See tapestries here https://www.rajrang.com/home-decor/wall-decor/mandala-tapestry.html
