Know this in your container selection process.. Drainage is a must. This is fixable, no matter the container with the good drill bits we have now. On a fixer-upper TV show just today, a hole in 5 gal. glass water bottle to accommodate cord for a lamp was drilled. My ESP was working for you , it led me here, so I could hear ;) your plans. Like Val and Doug said, go to @ Drought-smart plants web site, I'm gonna go there,,the bottom is good also, but not in every case. Succulents will bear offspring if crowded so, crowd, crowd away~~~ Generally they like a dry period between waterings, not a prolonged drought, but you will come to know them, they will tell you when to water.. If you see them begin to shrivel, it's usually a sign of over watering. Give them a gentle pinch or nudge. If they are still plump,ridged and slightly dry you are getting close to watering time. If you find them limp and wet, it's drastic, but get them out of that environment. I might dig away the wet medium (potting mix), if it's apparent it will be over 2 days before they are getting air. And, 2 days can be too long roots can't get air if the soil is wet.
