20 years of crud in oven
-
Mary Brien on Feb 24, 2015You might try: http://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/?s=clean+oven . While I don't like using harsh chemicals, this might be the best solution to that 'grubby' oven. Literally it appears to work 'painlessly' over night. You will probably still need to scrub some but it might be easier after the overnight treatment. Hope this helps.Helpful Reply

Myrna Engle on Feb 25, 2015I always use oven cleaner. It may take several efforts, but eventually you will have a clean oven. You might ask a friend to put your racks in their stove when they clean. It would help a lot.Helpful Reply

Diane hughes on Mar 04, 2015If you put your oven racks through the oven clean process it will make them hard to slide out and back in. It removes the shiny coating.Helpful Reply

Marlyn Ely on Aug 25, 2015Don't put your oven racks in the oven when you self clean it. It will make them turn dark, just take them out and spray with oven cleaner and use a Brillo pad to go over them and take off the crud. They will always stay shiny and look new. When you go to put them back in the oven go over the side edges with a cotton ball dipped in cooking oil and they will slide right in until the next time you clean them and you do it again. Good luck!!! M. ElyHelpful Reply
