I painted an antique bedroom suite and would like to refinish it. What are the steps/ process? Recommendations on brands i.e. liquid stripping etc.

It really depends on individual preferences and what you are refinishing. If you could post a pic or two of the set that would help in obtaining more precise information. Also depends on the type of wood underneath the paint and if you are going back to the wood finish. I usually use liquid paint stripper, but only do this in the garage as you need good ventilation. Sometimes if there is a risk to damaging the wood I will use a sander only. I have used the gels to strip but find the liquid is most effective - usually use the heirloom brand from home depot - just the regular as the one for multi coats takes longer and is less effective. If there is detail to the piece there is likely other advise to offer as well, depending on the detail. Hope this helps. You could also search the site for stripping furniture as there are numerous posts on the subject.
