Removing 'paint' from grout

The grout is/was white. Several years ago I bought and applied a product to "whiten" the grout again. It was in a smallish squeeze type bottle. I don't know what it was, it was white, more like a paint than a cleaner. Now I need to remove it. Any ideas? THANK YOU!

Oops,. sorry! It's a relatively small bathroom floor.
  • ......You will need a grout removal tool", available at the Home Improvement Store....scrape the top layer off , and you can re- grout it. ..; there is an additive you can add to your grout , its a sealer/ hardener that is mixed in with the grout before you use it, this helps keep the grout cleaner and seals it as well. :)

Mix TSP in spray bottle. Spray grout, wait 10 minutes and use soft bristle brush to scrub. Rinse well.

I also use a blue syrup type called Lysol and works wonders on brown type rust, great on tiles and porcelain tubs!

Tried everything except the Dremmel tool, nothing is touching it :'( Thanks for your help tho!
    • @Juli Albright ...not even the grout removal tool ? This usually works, I have used one and maybe that might be your only alternative , is to use a dremel with the stone bit . This product must be part epoxy to be that difficult to remove, just a guess, as I dont know the name of the product you used. I am sorry you are having such a hard time with the issue.

Have you tried paint remover? Try a small area with gloves and a stiff tooth brush.

You can buy white grout paint on the Internet and or a painter pen for grout at Home Depot.
