I would like to paint with acrylics on a canvas

Bonny McDaniel on Mar 02, 2015I'm not sure what the question is...do you want to know if you can paint with acrylics on canvas or if acrylics is suitable for abstracts? Yes, to both questions. I've painted, and sold, acrylics on canvas and canvas board (the latter is much cheaper if you want to practice on something...you can even use hardboard, also known as Masonite). You can also use some of the additions to your paint such as the products to bulk up the paint or to slow the drying time.Helpful Reply

K williams on Mar 03, 2015Use textile medium mixed with the acrylic paints and it should work beautifully to achieve your goal. It takes a little longer to dry because it enables the paints to absorb into the canvas instead of sitting on top. Have fun and enjoyHelpful Reply
