Painting vinyl floor

Question

I want to paint my floor so it looks like tiles about 6x18.  Has anyone done this?  How do you make the grout lines straight?

Here is a link for a HT member who painted her concrete patio to look like tile. Once you go to the link I provided, click the link she provides above her first picture. That will take you to her blog where she provides the whole tutorial, which you obviously will not need, other than the info on taping. http://www.hometalk.com/diy/outdoor/patios/staining-your-concrete-patio-to-look-like-tile-174052 As I recall, she used some kind of tape used for painting cars because painters tape was too wide for grout lines. Once you see her method for creating the grout lines, you can use one of the many tutorials available here on HT, YouTube, or the internet for painting vinyl. Good luck!

You can purchase thin (blue) painters tape. This will help with straight lines. Good luck!
