Thrifted Lamp Makeover

Today I’m sharing my Thrifted Lamp Makeover.
I found this recently at a thrift store for $5 and loved the shape of it and the lampshade but wasn't crazy about the color and fabric.
Here's the before shot.
It wasn’t horrible and I lOVE the shape so I thought with some neutral paint and new fabric on the shade it would give it a whole new look in our living room.
Besides the cost of the lamp I used things I already had so this didn’t cost me any more money. That’s a good thing, right? I had the paint leftover from when we painted. It’s Behr Tribal Pottery and we also used it in our Dining Room too.
Did you know you can buy sample size paint for $2.99 at Home Depot in any color you like. We had bought this to try the color and then went back and bought the gallon.
For the Lampshade I remembered I had this pretty tan and brown toile fabric. I cut a piece a little bigger than the lampshade and I gave myself 1″ seams and fold over.

Nancy Spencer Carlson on Mar 05, 2015It's a very nice revamp. Would love to see what it looks light lit up. I'm wondering if the leopard print shows through.
