Like something simple as sofas but not bulky things.

@edwinyen9, I used a wicker patio set. It is light weight to move, easy to clean and the padding is easily change-able for my moods and holidays.

I suggest that you go to ana-white.com She has some fabulous plans on her website for just this sort of thing. Once you get there in the search bar type in: Storage Sofa. It is awesome and I am planning on making one very large one for my living room after my child and grandchildren move out! : ) Actually, check out a lot of her things they are all pretty fabulous and complete instructions for all! Good Luck!

Ive Seen where they have used Straight back dining room Chairs, They are secured Together from under neath with small brackets. Then a long Cushion is made for the Seats and one for back to lean against... or each chair could have its own cushions for the The Seats and Backs... The one I saw used 2 or 3 chairs for a Love Seat Size and 4 or 5 chairs for the Sofa size... Depending on the Size of the Chairs... no arms on chairs... give it a try the next time you see a set of Chairs sitting side by side to see how it would look.. + you have storage under neath the Chairs in Baskets or tubs.. and a Skirt all around..? (Most Chairs are only 17 inches in depth + allow 1 inch or so away from wall..)

Have you considered a bench made with headboards? There are tons of tutorials here on HomeTalk. Then you can use baskets or drawers for storage underneath. Good luck?
