Small flat screen TV in entertainment center with doors

Laura H on Mar 09, 2015Does the TV fit into the space? (take measurements of the space for the TV and the TV itself to make sure it will fit). If it does, there shouldn't be a problem, just put it in. Most of the flat screen TV's come with a stand they sit on or you can purchase a wall mount. It just depends on how you are wanting it. I wouldn't recommend a wall mount inside an entertainment center myself because I think it would hinder your view of the TV. We faced the same dilemma last year with ours. Although the space itself was big enough for the TV, it wouldn't fit with the doors on it. We simply removed the doors. Of course, we can't hide the TV any longer but that was fine with us. Ours also had a slide out "tray" for the TV to sit on so it could be pulled out and turned slightly. We took it out and actually mounted the TV to the tray with screws and then re-installed the "tray". That way the TV is not going to tip or be pulled over. If you do put it on the stand in the entertainment center, I recommend securing it if you have small children around. The flat screens are lightweight and can fall or be pulled over very easily. We just put a couple of screws through the stand and the wood below and then put bolts on to secure it. Hope this helps!Helpful Reply

Midgeb on Mar 09, 2015What Laura H said. Measure carefully and determine what size of flat screen you can buy. I did this and it works out just fine. The TVs come with a snap on stand - very easy to attach. I also bought a sound bar system and purchased one that is the right size for my entertainment center. I positioned the sound bar itself sits right in front of the TV. Sight lines aren't blocked because of the stand.Helpful Reply

Trudy on Mar 09, 2015Be careful measuring because when they measure TVs they go diagonally corner to corner. Don't ask me why! So be sure to find out the ACTUAL height and width before hauling home.Helpful Reply
