Sally on Mar 12, 2015Use as your Command Center! Your blackboard was my inspiration. Behind the the top glass frames, use with erasable markers with This Week's Calendar, Menus etc behind the glass. The sheets could be changed for any occasion or need.Helpful Reply

153091 on Mar 12, 2015Place photos in top two..use removable tape so you can keep changing them, hang using picture hooks screwed on back. Good idea to have chalk handy, paint a tuna can, glue felt inside and screw it to the frame..chalk holder. Add some metal hooks (hobby lobby) for keys..dog leash..caps etc. Make it interesting and fun!Helpful Reply

Laurilli on Mar 12, 2015This is a great idea, but in line with Jan B.'s idea how about using a scrabble game tile holder screwed to the bottom of window to hold the chalk? Or make a small shelf to hold chalk and eraser.Helpful Reply

Amy Lyn on Mar 12, 2015Lined paper on the back of the glass & you have a dry erase board on top, chalkboard on the bottom. Add a shelf or window box to the bottom. You can decorate it for every season with ivy, leaves, evergreen garland, around the edges. Personally, I think the wood is beautiful but if you Lov paint, then paint away.Helpful Reply

Kim becker on Mar 13, 2015How about shutters (the slatted kind) on the sides to hold photos, notes, mail, etc. You do need something on the bottom (maybe an old windowsill) to hold chalk, eraser, the dry erase markers someone mentioned, and to give it a finished look. I'm picturing a whole command center!Helpful Reply

Bryan D on Mar 13, 2015Great. You all have great ideas. In fact too many and i only have one window left. (This one) but i am going to add a small shelf to the bottom, and some crown molding to the top and i really liked the calendar to a pane. I just need to find two or three hangers, hopefully the restore has some tomorrow. And as long as i remember, i will post a after pic.Helpful Reply
