New Curtains in the Dining Room

I changed out my curtains in the dining room. After I redecorated the Living Room and changed out those drapes, the ones in the dining room didn't look right anymore! You can see the after photo on my blog. http://www.graphicsfairy-diy.com/2013/01/new-curtains-for-dining-room.html
This is the before photo.
I hung these Lenda Curtains from Ikea, for a lighter more natural look.

What are the colors on the walls? For some reason I've been painting walls and now I've become addicted and am looking at 3 rooms, mayyyybe 4. Hubby doesn't know yet about the 4th. The 2nd curtains in linen look better against the wall color.

Puddling drapes are left-overs from those cold, drafty English Castles. Whey they were closed, the extra fabric was tucked close to the window or door to help stop a draft. For the "puddle" to look right, the fabrick should be opaque or something heavey. This this "stuff" looks bad.
