Carole on Mar 17, 2015It is a succulent. Jade plant is a type of succulent. It needs good drainage and not too much watering. I would put it into a pot with good drainage and use a cacti potting mix. They are also known as money trees I think and are supposed to be lucky for your finances.Helpful Reply

Linda 4 Real on Mar 17, 2015It's very cute! I'm sure you know it's a succulent by now and I'm not expert. If I like it then I'm happy. Hope u find its name. One thing I can tell just by being an avid gardener with green thumb is that I believe it will root very easily. Just ouch a piece and plant bc it's so cute u could have more or share with friends like I do. I also pinch this type from friends and have my own that I know who it's from. I think I had your little plant bf and got it the same way. That's how u know its hardy since it survived without being over cared for. Good luck, if I remember the name I'll post itHelpful Reply

Linda 4 Real on Mar 17, 2015So sorry, your question was care tips. You should be fine. Little care. Most people that kill plants try too hard. Good soil for succulent specific if u repot or root it. Note the months you have had it and it's location so you will know if the weather changes and it looks sad that the temperature is not right and may have to bring it in during that season.Helpful Reply
