Ron Skidmore on Mar 24, 2015I would DEFINITELY use the spray fabric paint. You will never get it to look right with the chalk system .Also I would find the right spray clear sealer to put on it .That will also protect your paint and your clothes.Helpful Reply

Mary Wheeler on Mar 24, 2015Try a sample in a hidden area first such as underside of couch cushion, back fabric etc. I have seen several versions including the chalk paint and a version that uses paint and fabric conditioner. Search Pinterest and Hometalk.Helpful Reply

Carol on Mar 25, 2015Visit www.addicted2decorating.com/i-painted-my-sofa-before-after.html I am in the middle of painting my sofa right now using her suggestions and directions, and so far, she's been spot on. It's going very well. Amazing coverage. My sofa is highly patterned and colored as was hers. And I spent almost the exact amount of money that she did.Helpful Reply
