How can a frog get into my toilet?
-
Moxie on Mar 25, 2015OK. I just can't resist...was it a "bowel" frog? lol Seriously, if the toilet backs up, it got stuck...if not, it will probably move down the sewer system, probably not alive at the other end. I don't think it will com back; have no idea where it came from but FL is pretty much a swamp that people built over soooo who knows?? I hope it doesn't return, that would totally freak me out!Helpful Reply

Sammokka on Mar 26, 2015He came up through the sewage system through the pipes. I hope you took him outside and released him; they eat bugs that eat us.Helpful Reply

Sylvia Stallings on Apr 06, 2015I have heard that Seattle has a serious problem with rats coming up through the toilet. The Chamber of Commerce has literature for newly arrived residents telling them to keep the lid down at all times and check before using the loo. So, I guess frogs are possible too. :~(Helpful Reply

Trixie63 on Jul 04, 2015This whole post is giving me the shivers. I thought I had it bad with the cats trying to bring chippy sand voles into the house! Best of luck!Helpful Reply

Karen on Jul 04, 2015Unless the frog came in through an open door, it almost certainly came via an uncapped pump-out pipe close to your house. My news here told of an iguana showing up in a toilet! The frog is likely to reappear for you the same way, or if it dies-- a good possibility -- will ultimately be flushed into sewer system or septic tank to decompose.Helpful Reply
