Old Buffet to Kitchen Island!
by

(IC: homeowner)
Got this buffet from a FB garage sale site (LOVE THEM!) for $50. Turned it into my new kitchen island!
Just sanded it down and spray painted two times with Rustoleum Paint and Primer 2X. Replaced the hardware with inexpensive handles and knobs. The top? Found a guy locally who made the top to "look" like butcher's block, but it is just three pieces of wood stained and finished. He made it up and installed it for me for $75!
My cost total? Probably just under $200... I LOVE IT!
Enjoyed the project?

Hi! Looks excellent. How did you do the back? We are trying a similar project but stumped on the back, since the piece is meant to go up against a wall. Thanks!
