Wall color with greenish blue counters

Unfortunately, I am renting and my kitchen has a bluish green floor and cabinets(ugly), but I have to make due for a year. What color should I paint the walls?

Yellow. Brightens up a kitchen, and might be easier to paint over when you move out.

My first thought was yellow too and you might NOT have to repaint!

You should check out Engineer Your Space. She shows renters how to make the best use of your space AND shows you how to temporarily alter things on a low budget till you have to move. She has ingenious ideas and shows you how she does it. www.engineeryourspace.com Love the day I discovered her show. You will get lost in all the episodes and will probably want to redesign your space withall the super cool ideas you will get from her show!

As is, would likely go with a cream, and use some rust accents. The floor I could take. Blue-green cupboards would bother me. I'd approach the landlord and try to sell him on the idea of "updating" the cupboards to a soft white (easier to rent, etc.) See if he will pay for the paint.

I would go with a soft grey for the walls and ivory or cream for the trim, and try to find some bright colored or metal accent pieces (maybe copper?) to hang. A multi-colored rag or braided rug could bring the cupboards, walls and countertops together.

try Pale Copper--I have used it in several houses and everyone loves it! Looks kinda ugly going up, but very neutral once dry and works with blues, greens, reds, golds, all colors. Check Home Depot or Lowes by color name.
