How to clean nail polish spilled on lazy boy imitation suede?

My granddaughter once spread nail polish all over the bathroom floor - it looked like a crime scene! We discovered that once dried, we could scrape it off. Have you tried that with a plastic knife?

I clean cottages , I used hand sanitizer to get pine gum off a couch arm. There is alcohol in it. Try on the back or somewhere not to noticeable first . To see if it changes the color.

I have used old fashion lard to remove gum, pine tar and it would probably break down nail polish too.
