Mudroom Makeover - Cottage Fresh Style

I never would have guessed that such a small space could make such a huge difference in our home. It was the drop zone spot in our home, just as you walked into the house from the side door. Where EVERYTHING got dropped. It was hideous. Cramped. Dis-functional. Dark. Did I mention, hideous? But now, it is light and bright and organized and highly functional . . . and gorgeous!
By removing a closet, and opening up that small space, I found more room than I imagined to work with.
I am slightly ashamed of this before picture, but I just hated the space so bad that I just shoved stuff in there, knowing someday what it could become.
So thanks to my husbands goodness and amazing skills, he ripped down the closet, planked the walls, built an adorable bench, drove 4 hours to pick up some pale yellow lockers I found on the classifieds, built some shelves, and then let me go to town with decorating.
I kinda love him.
Head over and read the post I did with all its details and sources!
