Most likely you need a new seal (gasket) around the bottom of the toilet.

Gasket!!!!!!!! before you damage your floor. Odds are your gasket is not level too old ect. If you don't know how people at the hardware store can tell you or better yet help you find someone who will do it. IT is much cheaper than a new floor.

you need a new wax seal or either it didn't seal properly. There are new ones on the market that are made of rubber that are less messy

Did you replace the was seal????? That should be done anytime you lift your toilet???
