NC Blue Ridge Mountains Chest of Drawers

This was a truly fun piece to paint as I know the sweet little girl it's going to! ☺️
I was given clear and exact directions on what designs the clients wanted which makes my job a lot easier!
I cleaned the piece first and used regular latex paint for base. Then sketched my designs and began to paint away! Clients wanted the state of North Carolina with the Blue Ridge Mountains painted on the inside of the state as well as a specific quote sketched on the front.
The only problem I had with this piece was I couldn't get the handles off! I had never seen handles attached like this before. They had a threaded screw about 2" deep with a square flat plate (not a bolt). So I had to spray paint the handles first and then paint all around them with Linen White. Then finish with a gloss!
Clients have a piece of glass that will go on top to protect the piece even more. Going in their mountain house at Mountain Air.
