How to choose a weed eater
-
Brenda wood on Apr 04, 2015I have a black and decker rechargeable one. I got tired of getting worn out just trying to crank a gas powered weedeater. It comes with two batteries. Im not sure exact weight but is lighter than my old one.Helpful Reply

W. Johnson on Apr 04, 2015I usually buy Weed Eater Light. Its by far the lightest gas weed eater I have come across. Never looked at or used a battery powered one. Probably worth checking out.Helpful Reply

Rivelle Rogue on Apr 05, 2015I bought the WORX GT and it is very lightweight. Has a good lithium ion battery which lasts me for the whole yard and I have .5 acre of edging to do. Don't expect it to tackle the really heavy stuff. Great for edging and adjusting to diff angles and heights.Helpful Reply

Deb on Apr 05, 2015You don't mention your height, but at 5'2" I have a hard time finding one that is not too long. Make sure you try "pretending" to use to make sure it fits you. Mine is 20 years old and I have had to order replacement pieces, but it still fits my size better than any new ones I've tried. Good luck.Helpful Reply

Alexscott on Oct 30, 2015If your yard is small, go for an electric model. Gas trimmers are generally more heavy duty and not required for small yards. Also for technic details, read some reviews like this http://topchoice.best/main-review/best-string-trimmers As this review said Husqvarna gas trimmer is the best, it has the engine displacement of 28 cc.The engine yields 1.1 hp, which is enough for cutting grass, weeds, small shrubs, etc. But as for me, I'd rather recommend Black and Decker, it's cheaper.Helpful Reply
