Giant house flies

Every summer I have visits from very large house flies. I use fly strips when they get really bad, but they're pretty ugly! Especially unappetizing in the kitchen!
Thanks

I just got those this weekend! They are huge! I've been chasing them around with the fly swatter. I'll be watching here to see if there are other solutions!

Uch the worst!! We didn't have house flies but we had fruit flies -- the best fix I found was putting out bowls of wine mixed with dish soap. The flies couldn't smell the dish soap but it broke the surface tension and turned the wine into a trap so that the flies got stuck. Other than that, we swatted or vacuumed up (maybe not good for giant house flies) anything else we saw. It was a miracle fix! Good luck!!

Do you have fly screens over your windows and or patio doors? We only get flies indoors because we tend to leave our back door open so the dog can come and go. I cannot stand flies or mozzies in the house. Yuk!

We use this in south Texas out in the back yard while dining. Hang plastic bags filled with water around the door or windows that are open and allowing the flies to get into the house. For some reason, nobody has a good reason why, the flies avoid the bags. It works like a charm on the patio - no flies. Outdoor restaurants use these. But only if you don't mind having bags of water hanging around...lol!

Put 3 or 4 pennies in the water bags. It scares the flies because the copper reflects in the water into their eyes and they think its a giant insect coming at them. Another hint, when ur have a picnic set out 3 or 4 small clear glasses with water and a few pennies around ur food, flies wont come near the table. It really works. Enjoy.
