  • Don't misplace your keys.
  • This is the frame I started with. Found at our local 2nd hand shop.
  • $1.50 for the hooks.
  • The frame needs to be thick enough to be able to screw in the hooks.

White Subway Tile Backsplash with Black Cabinets

though so I added a stark white subway tile backsplash for less than $200.

I made flowers out of various dishes and china. Plus metal pipe and I have really cute flowers!

Using window caulk instead of glue, just caulk pieces together. Add a flattened silver spoon to the back so the handle can go down in the hollow pipe to make them into flowers for you garden art!

Tackling an intimidating empty wall... Decorating tips!

I had gotten rid of a GIANT 5 piece entertainment center that was occupying a 17 foot wall that ran down the middle of our 'great room'. Once it was gone I was left with a lot of empty ...»
blankness. I did a little 'at home' shopping and reused pieces from around the house to make this area feel more like a living space and less like a forgotten hallway. I love how inviting it is now! Blog link: http://www.thriftyinspirations.net/2012/06/...

Mailbox From Ugly to Pretty

Our mailbox, at our summer home, in Pinetop, AZ was so ugly. My husband insisted, once the snow plow took our our regular mailbox, that we install one that could be swung to the side when ...»
we left for the winter. I tried to get Ivy to grow up the post to no avail. This summer, a couple of weeks ago, after finishing a couple of my first mosaic projects I got the idea to mosaic the ugly mailbox. It took me a week to complete it but it was so worth it! :) No longer ugly and we have met several people ,as passerbys admire it, while we are sitting on our deck. I am having so much fun with this new found craft.
