@Sherrie do you have any advice for Nancy?

I pulled up upholstery cleaning guidelines. And since The couch fabric should be coded. But this is the link for cleaning fabric. You are going to have to find the coding in your fabric. Let me know if this helps and is it dye from someone sitting on your couch? http://www.howtocleanstuff.net/how-to-clean-code-s-upholstery/

A very easy fix ,especially since this is a white/light color upholstery,is to spray it with hydrogen peroxide ...the 3% kind you get at the pharmacy. It works great removing stains like red wine, perspiration, dyes rubbed on from other clothing... just spray or blot it on with a sponge make sure it penetrates the fabric and let is just sit an hour or so or do it before you go to bed and the stain should be gone next morning. If not completely gone repeat, then blot it off with clean water and let dry. I have "saved" so many stained rugs, clothes, etc that I keep a bottle with a sprayer on it in the laundry room and in the bath room...great for sanitizing toothbrushes especially after a cold... also kills mold.

@Lida Zams Thank you so much for your input! I have had orange stains in one of my rooms from water that had come up through the floor. The sofa has wooden legs & has left stains where it was wet. The carpet cleaner told me there wasn't anything I could do about it. My carpet is a light tan so I'm very anxious to try this. Thank you again.

Folex Carpet Cleaner is a leave on spray enzyme that works like magic to make stains disappear. I use it for spray on laundry stain treatment, rugs, furniture, and even cleaning my stovetop.

My sister in law has had great success cleaning upholstery using spray foam glass cleaner from the dollar store. Don't know why it works but you should see how it cleans! You may want to try this in an inconspicuous spot first. May above has given a great suggestion with hydrogen peroxide too. Actually that's the main ingredient in Oxyclean :-)

Nancy were you able to get the sofa cleaned. I have a similar problem with my sofa....the orange coloring is spreading. my sofa was originally treated for stain protection and I was wondering if that might be part of the problem. Thanks for your help!
