Suggestions please for front door color

I have a white cape cod style home. The siding and trim are both white with a dark green roof. My husband painted the shutters for me last year a beautiful shade of dark teal. Now I don't know what color to use for my front door! It's white and looks so boring. I am hoping to give the house a more cottage look so what colors would you all suggest? Should I paint it the same as the shutters?

go with the shutter color. is your door solid plain door or does it have like trim around it, glass? you could keep it white with the trim around the door the color of shutters or go sloid with shutter color. you want your house to pop but not over due it with dark colors. do u have pics of house to get an idea?

When I had to replace my front door (kicked in-robbed), I decided to go bright color and so glad I did! I used Valspar Duramax -Exterior satin-Magenta. It turned out beautiful.

Just did some research on feng shui and the top colors for my door (since it faces South East) would be green, black, blue or brown. I think I am going to go with the same color as the shutters then. The dark teal should work beautifully and bring prosperity to my home!
