Rustic "Standing" Desk Gets Spruced Up

I picked up a very unique desk on an on-line auction. I thought it looked very interesting and the price was right. When I went to pick it up, I then realized the description did not indicate the desk's dimensions because it was big! It is 47″ wide, 30″ high at the front, 35′ high at the back and 26″ deep.
I love how it turned out but I wonder if I was TOO conservative?

Here is the before pictures from the listing. It was a bit scuffed up, painted hunter green and had a true Canadian maple leaf on it. Rustic looking and solid.
I decided to go for a nice clean look with no distressing and I love how it turned out.
I stripped and restained the wood top and treated the leather with Hemp Oil to condition it and bring out the nice black colour.
As you can see, inside the top compartment, it has a very rustic bottom which I essentially left as is and cover the green with a red.
