Idea for rolling pin use

Victoria on Apr 16, 2015Not sure about using it on the wall, but if you have children you can put adhesive backed animals, shapes, or letters and use as a stencil. Just brush on paint of many colors if wanted and let them go.Helpful Reply

Cheryl Markus Reynolds on Apr 16, 2015If you want to totally refurbish it, you could paint it and stencil it to match your kitchen decor. (Maybe Diane's Kitchen) Then hang it on the wall.Helpful Reply

Cindy rongey on Apr 16, 2015I have used several in my house. One hangs vertically on the side of the cabinet over my sink. I just tied a piece of twine around the handle and hung it on a hook. Another is a towel holder, under a shelf. I took out the plain dowel rod, cut u shape sut outs big enought o hold the hadnels and slid the rolling pin in from the back and hung it on the wall.Helpful Reply

Deb tosoni on Apr 16, 2015I put up 2 coat hooks and rested the rolling pin on top. Can hang dish towels on it and the hooks. Can still use the rolling pin.Helpful Reply

Duv310660 on Apr 16, 2015My 'thing' is typography and so I am always thinking in terms of typefaces and quotations. For you, I suggest fashioning a sign, eithernghung from the roller or with hooks that hold the roller to the sign. The quote needed is likely more personal; you can google 'quotations about cooking' (or the kitchen or being a grandmother, as your space and whim suggest), such as "Hearty fare - 25 cents" or "lips that touch liquor will never touch mine" (old temperance motto that was intertwined with women's rights) or "my husband beater beats your wife beater" (okay, I just made that up). Google it and it will come!Helpful Reply

Lucy on Apr 16, 2015I painted one like a peppermint stick, tied a generous length of ribbon to each (green) handle, hung the ribbon on the wall from a nail, and added a Christmas tea towel over the "peppermint stick."Helpful Reply

R.James Olson on Apr 16, 2015Curtain rod brackets, of a diameter which will accommodate the diameter of the rolling pin handles, for use as a towel holder will preserve the rolling pin in case you decide turning something worth $65-$75 into something worth $5 isn't the brightest idea.Helpful Reply

Lisa Otts on Apr 17, 2015I have taken two and put cup hooks in both. One hangs above my stove and holds the cooking utensils I use most. The other hangs in my mom's kitchen and holds vintage utensils b/c that matches her decide.Helpful Reply
