How can I refurbish faded vinyl siding?
-
D & K on Apr 19, 2015I've never attempted staining (don't know if it's even possible but painting vinyl siding is more common than most people think. Which to digress for a minute, I see a certain irony in the fact that most people that have had vinyl siding installed was because it never needed painting...anyway. To paint vinyl siding your simply need to clean it well then apply a plastic primer. Don't use a regular latex or oil base primer. They have to be for use on vinyl and other plastics or they will simply release and peel a few months later. Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore and others offer a primer specifically for use on vinyl siding. Once the primer is applied and dry, finish it off with any good quality paint of your choice.Helpful Reply
