Take the Old, Make it New With a Slipcover

When I obtained estimates to have my furniture recovered I gasped! The furniture was still in good shape and made well but I knew I couldn't sell it because it was outdated.
Before
Being a seamstress for 30 plus years I knew I couldn't justify that so I got busy looking for fabric and slipcover ideas. After several months of searching every fabric store in town and online and multiple moments of doubt, I finally came to a decision.
After
Robert Allen's Linen Duck Natural was the winner and what a winner it was! I couldn't be happier! I purchased a new cushion since it was getting a facelift. know this looks like a quick project but I will say that if you are not a somewhat seasoned sewer or if you are perfectionist, don't take this on!! It was a very long, tedious process for a perfectionist like me!! The nature of a slipcover is loose and wrinkly but to a perfectionist, that is a nightmare!
