I am making double lined drapes, two panels to make one curtain.

Jim L on Apr 21, 2015Go to a fabric store and buy "real" lining for your drapes. It will last longer and "drape" properly...please do not skimp!Helpful Reply

Mary-Ann on Apr 22, 2015I agree with Jim L. But if you want to use bed sheets, then King size will work but you need to prepare the sheets well-wash and dry them and make sure they are square,Helpful Reply

Monique Fredline on Apr 22, 2015Depending on how you will hang the curtains, plan on using about twice the width of the window for the width measurement of the fabric. If you do use sheets, I suggest buying 100% cotton and wash and dry more than once before you cut and sew. Do you really mean double lined? two linings? or do you mean lined, one lining. I double line where I live because it gets so cold. Three layers is tougher but manageable.Helpful Reply
