Removing stain from bronze

Beth McDrummond Holley on Apr 24, 2015Oiled Rubbed Bronze is the hardest to clean of all the finishes. You have to make sure what kind of finish you have. Do you have a real, natural patina of bronze? Most your everyday kind of faucets like Moen, Delta and such don't have a natural patina so you can spray them down with a white vinegar and water solution and then rub them clean. It might take a few times and let it soak. But if you have a high end faucet with a natural patina, you need to consult with the manufacturer first.Helpful Reply

Denise Burns on Apr 24, 2015Vinegar is a great way to clean and it really does clean hard water stains. I agree with Beth McDrummond Holley. You can also soak a cloth in vinegar and wrap it or lay it on the area; it will dissolve the stain. I had a really tough stain that took about 45 minutes to clean it off, but worked on it while cleaning and doing laundry. Just keep after it!Helpful Reply

Becky on Apr 26, 2015I LOVE CLR...you could google it and check it out. If not, straight, stinky vinegar is the best.Helpful Reply
