Sherrie on Apr 26, 2015You need a emzyne cleaner to remove urine. You can use other things but this will break it down. You can even purchase it from a carpet cleaning company, Lowes, Home Depot. I get mine from Stanley Cleaner. Because it follows the USA carpet guidelines and works.Helpful Reply

Debbie Orfinger Bell on Apr 26, 2015Bed bath and beyond carries a product called Zero odor. It works like nothing else! Better than anything I have ever tried, and I have tried everything! I found it online years ago before it was available commercially. It is great!Helpful Reply

Gai1579227 on Apr 26, 2015Spray area with vinegar, white household type, then sprinkle with baking soda. The baking soda reacts with the vinegar to pull the stain out and neutralizes the odor. Cover the area with a paper plate so you don't step on it, allow it to dry, then brush it with a hard bristled brush and vacuum.Helpful Reply

Jennifer Bordy on Apr 26, 2015I had this problem, too, and recently discovered the most wonderful, inexpensive ($2.00 box) answer to this problem -- Arm & Hammer Carpet Deordorizer. Just sprinkle, wait 15 minutes and vacuum, and the whole house smells great again!Helpful Reply

Noel on Apr 26, 2015Natire's Miracle. The longer you leave carpet wet with it, the better it works. The odor could be in the flooring under the carpet as well, so if soaking the carpet doesn't work, pull up the carpet if possible and treat the floor.Helpful Reply

Julies1949 on Apr 26, 2015Nothing you do from the top of the carpet is going to get the smell out of the underpad. The easiest thing to do is to clean the carpet with an enzyme cleaner, pull up the carpet, cut out that section of underpad then replace it.Helpful Reply
