Sherrie on Apr 26, 2015When we clean them we use Pro Force...we buy it from Sam's Club. It is a oven and degreaser for heavy build up. But try baby oil. Sometimes if it isn't to hard oil will take off oil.Helpful Reply

Ros on Apr 26, 2015I use Palmolive dish detergent or else Fantastic detergent. The latter is probably stronger for degreasing. Recently I did that job and cut my finger on an edge. I bled like porky.... So I just wanted to say wear even garden gloves as you are working in an awkward space with moderately sharp edges.Helpful Reply

Kathie taylor on Apr 26, 2015There is a product on the market called Greased Lightning, you can buy it anywhere. Always spray the rag, NOT the object. Run your cleaning cloth under hot water, wring, spray rag. They also sell the product in a gallon jug refill. This will take some time but it works well. I had a cleaning service and we did lots of rental clean-outs... Dawn dish liquid is a good degreaser as well, you must determine how bad it is. Time was money for me, we went with greased lightning. When you are finished clean again with vinegar and water before you paint. Wear gloves, and don't forget to clean the screen (s)Helpful Reply
