Marion Nesbitt on Apr 28, 2015I'd buy dry strippable wallpaper. It is easy to take off when you move. Hundreds of patterns, colours, and textures to choose from.Helpful Reply

Barb Witherspoon on Apr 28, 2015I'd use color - big color - on the walls. Art work, shelves with colorful pottery, etc. Also colorful curtains and drapes. even if there are shades on the windows, you could use tie-backs. The white walls could give you a chance to play "art gallery." Throw pillows offer an opportunity to add color, too. Pier One has some awesome ones. Have fun!!Helpful Reply

Little Mares on Apr 28, 2015For an accent wall buy inexpensive fabric(king size top sheets work too) and hang it from small cafe rods from the top of the wall down. You can gather it loosely and let the pattern/color speak for itself! If you're into a more rustic or textured look, buy landscaping burlap by the roll and simply tack it to the wall like wall upholstery. Some of the white from the wall paint will show through the loose weave and provide a very cool effect. You can hang art work on top of it.Helpful Reply

Dee on Apr 28, 2015Use fabric and liquid starch as a wall paper of sorts. You just submerse the fabric in the liquid starch, wring the fabric out a little bit (not too wet - not too dry) and put it on the wall like you would wallpaper. The best thing is - it is easily removable, does not damage any walls or paint and you can change it out as your tastes change. :)Helpful Reply

Jan on Apr 28, 2015I agree with the artwork. Depends on your taste but you could use large framed posters or you can get copies of Old Masters from China at ridiculous low prices. Take a main colour and add a throw or cushions.Helpful Reply

LoomingOcd on Apr 28, 2015Command hooks are great for hanging panels of cloth with. All you need to do is fold a pocket at the top of the fabric and sew or staple it. Then thread a dowel through and hang it on the command hooks. But if you're a DIYer you probably had the detail visualized after the first sentence!Helpful Reply

Marjo on Apr 28, 2015You can buy all kinds of vinyl decals now in any color that come right back off the walls when you need them to. This is what my daughter did in her apt.Helpful Reply
