Repurpose 5-headed lamps?

I have 3 5-headed lamps that are black metal poles with black lamp shades. I am redecorating and would like to do a white or light blue but wanted to do something creative with the whole lamp and I am looking for ideas.

We did a little repurposing about a year ago with one of these Madusa lamps! When I get back home, I'll take some pics of what we did to it and post them here

I would start by spray painting it - here is a link to a post where she did it with great results: http://www.hometalk.com/diy/-1299770 Depending on your taste, I would then add beads etc. You can often buy really pretty curtain tie backs which you could use to add a little bit of bling.

Here are some pics of how did ours. We took the lampshades off completely, spray painted the entire body, flexing, and bulb bases. We then used Edison bulbs to give it a funky industrustrial vibe.

I have this lamp too (similar), and I was JUST thinking the same thing, "Hmmm what could I do with This?" Now, I didn't try it yet to see if it's even possible, but I was thinking maybe, pull r bulbs and wires out of the poles and maybe make a 5 bulbed (is that m word?!) pendant fixture? Post pics end u fire out your plan, and I'll do the same. :)
