New Paint to the Rescue!

Earlier I posted a question about trimming out the windows of our home. After much research, I discovered there are some issues adding anything (like wider trim) to vinyl siding. Oh well.....
But some people commented the door color and the pergola didn't work well together. (The 'before' is the one with the green door.) Truth be told, I had hoped to have a white pergola to go with the white trim, but for various reasons, it didn't happen. We chose this color because it did tie in with the cedar fence (not visible in the photo).
With options dwindling, I decided to use my "go to" option I often use: Paint! :-)
We had paint custom matched to work with the pergola's color. For the inside door I did a DIY custom, lighter version of the warm caramel color. I think now everything works better. :-)
NOTE: This photo was just taken a few days ago. The landscaping has been revived BUT it's early spring here in ND and the perennials haven't grown to their full size yet...not to mention they themselves are still 'baby' plants and will not grow to fruition for a few years yet :-) (So please no comments about what you'd add for landscaping.....It's done...but it just isn't visible on this pic. Thanks.)
New door color coordinates with the pergola. Landscaping is there but not grown in yet on this pic.
The green door was nice but it didn't work so well with the pergola.

Much better! I love green doors, but you're right, the green door didn't work with the pergola. The new color ties it in with the rest of the house. Looks great!

We sold this home in early 2020 but the pergola is still holding up very well. We did change the shingles color, the pergola/step, front door and backyard cedar fence all to a rich dark granite color. Here's how it looked before we sold it. :-)
