I have two steps that go from my foyer to living room, tile up to the edge and then carpet on the vertical surfaces.

Metro Flooring & Design on Sep 30, 2011You can pull it off and try to clean it but you will probably need a new one. Use Chemrex to put it down next time. It dries in a couple hours and lasts forever.Helpful Reply

Hudson Designs on Sep 30, 2011I have done this repair a few time's. I would remove the complete strip and clean it and the floor edge with Goof off or MEK, then allow to dry out one hour. Next apply a spot of LOCTITE "LOC PL PREM" caulking every 8 to 10 inches. Press in place firmly product will set in 30 minutes and allow to dry 12 hours for good bond.Helpful Reply

JL Spring & Associates on Sep 30, 2011Like NHS says a metal strip would be a good substitute. Is the flooring on a slab or wood floor? You can nail the metal strip down with provided twister nails in the package or use this QUAD clear adhesive. Apply a generous bead, press firmly and don't worry about the ooze from the nail holes. Let dry and just cut them off with a razor blade knife. Hope this helps! JLHelpful Reply
