☀ As summer approaches, for only a few dollars you can make a quick and easy decoration for your front door, porch, or wherever you want a fun pop of color!
Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ It doesn't take much to brighten up a spot in your home!
Materials needed:
To create the 'wreath' effect around the outer edge of the placemat, I gathered my length of decorative mesh in half, zip-tied the middle of it loosely to what would now be the 'top' of my circle and then gathered it again at the bottom of the placemat, leaving some length to hang down.
Once you have your mesh attached, attach the decorative butterflies around the placemat. I liked how it looked to have one attached to the mesh, as if it just landed, and put the other two remaining butterflies on the placemat itself.
The final product! I had a tiny hook already on my front door, so I hooked the top of the placemat on it, and then pushed a clear push-pin through the bottom, behind the 'bow' (so it wouldn't pop off the hook when the door shuts, the final decoration is very lightweight).
