MaryStLouis on May 06, 2015Hi Charlie. I like to use Amaco Rub 'n Buff for small projects. For larger projects, I went to these two blog posts for advice. Gold spray on door handles will buy you some time, but no paint will last as long or as well as a factory finish. My advice would be to spray the handles, then spray them again with a gloss topcoat. Here are the links I used when I researched; hopefully you can make a good choice: http://www.brightgreendoor.com/the-gold-spray-paint-test/ http://www.chrislovesjulia.com/2013/02/answering-which-gold-spray-paint-is-best.html Most people use gold paint on art projects, as do I, so I can't vouch for durability, just color. Design Masters has great shine, has a greenish-gold color to it, and Rustoleum has good brassy tones and good shine. Good luck!Helpful Reply
