Upcycle a Paint Can Into an Ice Bucket or Storage Container!

15 Minutes
Easy
A friend was hosting a blog hop for upcycled crafts. So I turned an old can of paint into an ice bucket!
I started by cleaning out the old can of paint. It took a lot of elbow grease and warm water.
Using gold spray paint, I covered the top, handle, and bottom edges of the paint can.
Then I spray glued some scrapbooking paper to the outside.
Besides the time it took me to clean the can out, as well as dry time for the paint and glue, this only took me 15 minutes to make!
Though I originally designed it as an ice bucket, it's now in my studio, holding rulers, paint brushes, and other supplies. I might have to make more! You can see the full tutorial over on my blog.

I like this modern ice bucket very much. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of projects out there that is not rustic or modern farmhouse.
