Some doors on my cabinets are not closing all the way.

Cabinet doors in my kitchen and bathroom will not stay closed. What is the reason for this and how can I fix this.

    check to see that they are sill plumb. The screws can be adjusted on the hinges to bring them back if they are not!

    Mine do the same thing. Every once in a while my husband has to tighten the hinges.

    My hubby takes a screwdriver (a long one) -opens the cabinet door, lays it on the hinges (not European ones!) and closes the door! It adjusts the hinge or something. Amazing but it works!

    Check the hinges.Might need an adjustment.

    They might be bent (up or down) from years of use and will need replacing. My cabinet doors do that and my closet door did when I hung too much on the back of it.

    For a less mechanical solution, I applied a small square of velcro to the bottom corner of the cabinet. Now when I close them the velcro holds it in place

      @Susan I thought I was the only one to use velcro on my cabinet door! It never occurred to me to try and tighten the hinges, I will try this...maybe then I can get rid of the Velcro! ;)
