Thrift Store Glass Bud Vase

I stumbled across a stash of matching glasses at the thrift store and figured *something* would come to me to put them to good use. A little paint, some scrap wood and grocery store daffodils and... the perfect centerpiece for our spring table! I have used this more than once as a prop when I appear on the local news, and the colors are always perfect for a festive slightly unexpected spring table.
See how this thrift store glass and scrap wood came together for a rustic spring centerpiece.
These simple glasses were 50% off so...$2.50 in all. Too good to pass up!
This old board got a white washed finish and a punch of color along the edge.
I adhered the glasses to the board and... CENTERPIECE! A $3 bouquet of daffodils welcomes spring.
Stop by and say hi! At Charlotte's House

At Charlotte's House on Dec 29, 2015@Leslie Lee Diamond Leslie, it's the BEST! I have a mason jar filled with white vinegar and a steel wool pad. Let it sit for a day or so and then just paint it onto raw wood... it ends up with a nice weathered patina. I just have some sitting on my tool bench to grab whenever I need!
