Boys' Nautical Themed Bedroom

I was privileged to decorated for a little boy who loves the ocean, boats, fish, and the sun.
This room was long and narrow. One long wall was a trick to decorate. I stumbled upon four oars, and two large wood pictures. The oars were originally green, so I painted them red with acrylic paint.
This wooden bucket was perfect to hold his little books.
What more can I say?
I really loved the details of the two large wood pictures. I found them along with the oars from T.J. Maxx Homegoods store. You don't even want to know how ridiculous I looked trying to maneuver a cart full of oars and large pictures down very narrow aisles.
A fish pillow; seriously adorable.
I continued painting things red! I painted the top of the little table red, along with the ship steering wheel. This was such a fun project. Decorating kids' rooms is truly one of my favorite rooms to decorate.
Enjoyed the project?

TrishaBee on May 07, 2015"The ocean fixes everything". LOVE IT! Having just moved to FL last August and only 30 minutes from the coast I can tell you that statement is undoubtedly true! Love this room! My son's room is nautical as well and I have been stuck on a few decor choices. Thank you for the inspiration!
