Easy and All Natural Carpet Refresher

I HATE paying my hard earned money for items like carpet refresher. This recipe has TWO ingredients, is all natural with no toxic chemicals, and works AMAZINGLY well for pennies.
I buy giant bags of baking soda at Costco and use it for lots of my DIY products. Deodorant, bath soaks, dishwasher soap, tooth powder...you name it!
Purification essential oil is a blend of a few oils that work to kill germs and eliminate (not cover up) odors. I use it for my deodorant, to clean cuts and scrapes, to freshen laundry and as a bug repellent. It was the perfect choice to freshen up my rugs and carpets and get rid of any doggy odors and all the germs my kids track through here.
I just drip some oil into the baking soda and use a spoon to break up the pellets that form and get it blended well. Shake it on your carpets and let it sit for a few minutes before vacuuming up and your house will smell clean and fresh. Hop over to the blog post for the exact recipe and for a free printable label you can use for your own jar of carpet refresher!

Joni Smith on May 21, 2015We once had a very small long-haired dachshund that hopped up on a dinning room chair, then on the table to consume half of a three pound pan of fudge. Absolutely no side effects! However, we never give our dogs chocolate. I use essential oils in my baking soda carpet freshener and haven't had any problems with man, beast, or machine!

I have read you can put Cinnamon with the baking soda instead.
