I need help with my kitchen ceiling fixtures/area
under plastic sheeting. I took down the plastic sheeting as it was ugly.
Now I need ideas for this space. That space is recessed about 13"

Karen on May 10, 2015People pay a lot for tray ceilings and you essentially have one there. I would trim it out with crown moldings, paint the sides a deeper color (or one that matches your kitchen. With a white ceiling and trim, it will be a beautiful architectural feature and no one will ever know that it started out with a different plan. Photo below.Helpful Reply

Ros on May 11, 2015I would definitely make the ceiling an asset. I would hide the fluorescent lights behind crown molding to get great light and an attractive look, rather than stick track lighting there. I really dislike ceiling fans as they make me dizzy. I would rather keep the centre as plain ceiling. Good luckHelpful Reply
