I love using broken concrete to make a garden path! It ends up looking very organic. Plant a ground cover inbetween the concrete pieces. Use the rocks in natural groupings on the sides. I love an eclectic mix of materials.
hello Ivy, hope this helps you out.

Use to make walls or Fence like planters or edges of paths or borders.
I would use them on potted plants for several reasons...the slow evaporation, keep squirrels and mice out of them and prevent weeds from growing.
Crushed concrete is a very good substrate for a slab. The key is to not have chunks so large that air pockets are created. Maybe bring in a layer of sand to fill the voids and level things a bit. A water rinse will help bring air out and compact the material.
Use them to build berms here and there around your property to give your yard some interest rather than just being flat. Cover the berms with native grasses since you're in a desert area.
