Tearing up carpet

Sherrie on May 11, 2015Cut it and start pulling up. You will need to pull up the carpet tacks, and the staples. I used a pry bar and dykes to pull up staples. I would run a hose along the floor when it snagged i had to pull up another one. This is after you think you have every staple up.Helpful Reply

Sheri Barry on May 12, 2015...lots of sanding too... Definitely, make sure you get all the staples and nails out...using a good pair of needle nose pliers. It helps with getting those hard to reach staples or nails out. Finish with a nice varnish.Helpful Reply
